The main difference is the "Ads Frame" that shows banners in the free version. This frame do not exists in the registered version. Know more about the differences....

Why the pronounce icon is disable in some dictionaries?

The sintetizador that allows the reproduction of the pronounces is available only for words in English. We are working to have this same functionality in the other dictionaries. To be informed about this and other new features, please, sign our NEWS. The form to sign is available in "Home" (in the right side of the page).

How can I change the interface language?

The FastDictionary allows that its interface is presented in Portuguese or English. The initial language is configured in the first time that the user executes the program. To change the language of the interface, see here the topic "Changing the Interface Language" in the User Guide.

How can I close the "Ads Frame" and leave the dictionary occupying little space in the screen?

The window with the banner is a characteristic of the free version of the FastDictionary. It allows our team to finance the development of new versions and the evolution of the product. The only way to eliminate the window is registering your FastDictionary. See more information about registering.

O código de registro que tenho não funciona, o que fazer?

If the register code that you received came from a register process through our site, verifies if you typed the complete code and typed all letters, numbers and symbols. Letter case makes difference and all the signals must be typed, therefore, the code must be typed exactly as it was sent to you. If you not have success, fills our support form that we will be pleased to help you.

If the code you have came from another site or you received it from a friend, this is an invalid code, and you need to register your FastDictionary to receive a valid code.

How I do backup copies of my personal dictionaries?

All the times that you edit one word or add a new one, this information are saved in a separate file. The personalized files, the ones that contains the words edited and inserted by you, have the extensions "dcu" and "dtu". To backup these files, just copy all files with extensions "dcu" and "dtu" for a CD or another media device. Is it necessary to be connected to the Internet to use the FastDictionary?

The answer is no. You can use FastDictionary without a permanent Internet connection, but the User Guide and some functionalities may need the connection.
